The essence of my work, my passion, my love affair is personal development. My whole being wakes up when I am at work. I feel humbled when I am seeing someone through transformation which helps me notice transformation around me, just right under my nose. Very often just right in me.
I have made a commitment to make 2014 a Year of my Heart and my Mind. I am committed to take hearty and brainy actions daily, weekly and monthly.
I am giving myself permission to listen to my heart and let my brain work its way through it, whatever “it” might be- finding our new home, working on my next project and creating the path for my book to come into the world.
However, I am an undeniably left-brain woman who needs to feed her intellectual curiosity, so I listen to fascinating conversations about the brain and neuroscience, which , in return, allows my heart to absorb, brew and steam those ideas until they penetrate into my being.
As I write, work, live and love, I am feeling opening up bit by bit. It is challenging and incredibly evoking, too.
I believe that we are genetically programmed to grow. We have not been created to remain static and fixed. Just like a seed which grows because it is pre-set to do so but without external conditions –sun, water and light- it would remain a seed for good!
We have an internal life- understanding our heart and mind- and this is the only thing we have control over. What Life, God or universal wisdom throws at us, it is totally beyond our control.
Our brain has its grooves, laid down by our conditioning, upbringing and circumstances. Internal chatters, negativity and things that hold us back is partly processed in the brain. Understanding this through neuroscience is part of my quest.
Our heart is the carrier of the seed- the potential, our core self, our very best self. How we live in the world, how we create connections, why we fail and how we can create more warmth, openness and bring more presence, courage and essence to our life sits in the heart. Understanding this through practical hearty processes is the other significant part of my quest.
We need to walk in the world with our brain in one hand and our heart in the other to create meaningful, fulfilling lives!
I am passionate about doing this because without action we always remain in possibility- which is safe and beautiful but in the long run safety becomes enervating and even stale.
Come along with me on my quest! I would be thrilled to journey with you! Connect with me through the blog or email me directly at email@example.com.
From the heart,
